Item Description:

GC MI Paste Plus is a water based topical creme containing Recaldent with incorporated fluoride (CPP-ACPF: Casein Phosphopeptide-Amorphous Calcium Phosphate Fluoride), with a fluoride level of 0.2% w/w (900ppm). When CPP-ACPF is applied in the oral environment, it will bind to biofilms, plaque, bacteria, hydroxyapatite and soft tissue localising bio-available calcium, phosphate and fluoride. Provides extra protection for teeth. Helps neutralise acid challenges from acidogenic bacteria in plaque. Helps neutralise acid challenges from other internal and external acid sources.
Indications: following in-office bleaching procedures; after ultrasonic, hand scaling or root planing; following professional tooth cleaning; hypersensitivity prevention and control; as an alternative means of applying fluoride topically in children aged 6 and above; during orthodontic treatment; for high risk caries patients; to provide a topical coating for patients suffering from erosion, xerostomia or Sjögrens syndrome; for special needs adult patients.
Contraindications: Casein phosphopeptides are derived from milk casein and not to be used this on patients with a proven or suspected milk protein allergy and/or with a sensitivity or allergy to benzoate preservatives. It is not recommended to use GC MI Paste Plus on patients under the age of 6, and the overnight at home application is not recommended for children under 12. For use by or under the supervision of a dental professional in the recommended indications.
